Privacy Policy
Last updated: 11 September 2026
MMM Panels & Mechanical Repairs ("we", "us", "our", "the Business") is committed to protecting the privacy of our customers and website visitors. We handle personal information in accordance with the Privacy Act 1988 (Cth) and the 13 Australian Privacy Principles (APPs), and the Spam Act 2003 (Cth).
This policy explains what information we collect, why we collect it, how we use, store and disclose it, and how you can access or correct it, or raise a concern about how it has been handled.
Who We Are
MMM Panels & Mechanical Repairs

Owner / Operator: Mardeenal Qaryaqoz
The Information We Collect
In the course of providing panel and paint repair services, we collect personal information. Depending on your dealings with us, this may include:
- Identity and contact details — name, address, phone number, email
- Vehicle details — make, model, registration number, and vehicle identification details relevant to your repair
- Repair and quote information — details of the damage, assessment notes, photographs of your vehicle, quotes and repair records
- Insurance claim details — where you are making an insurance claim, your insurer, claim number and related correspondence
- Payment and billing information — for processing payments for repairs and services
- Enquiry information submitted through our website's contact or quote forms, or in reply to a missed-call text-back message
We only collect personal information that is reasonably necessary to provide our services and to run the Business.
How We Collect Information
Wherever practicable, we collect information directly from you — for example, when you request a quote, drop off a vehicle, attend an assessment, or contact us by phone, SMS, or through our website. For insurance jobs, we may also receive information from your insurer, generally with your consent or as otherwise permitted by law.
Why We Collect, Use and Disclose Your Information
We collect, hold, use and disclose personal information for the primary purpose of providing panel and paint repair services and running the Business, including to:
- assess vehicle damage and provide quotes
- carry out repairs, paint work and inspections
- manage insurance claims and liaise with your insurer on your behalf
- process payments and issue invoices and receipts
- communicate with you about your repair, collection and follow-up
- issue roadworthy certificates and meet VicRoads requirements
- meet our legal, regulatory and licensing obligations
- administer and improve the Business and our services
We will only use or disclose your personal information for a secondary purpose where you would reasonably expect it, where you consent, or where the law otherwise permits or requires it.
We do not sell your personal information, and we do not disclose it to third parties for their own marketing purposes without your consent.
Overseas Disclosure
We use customer relationship and communications platforms to manage enquiries, quote follow-up, missed-call text-back and review requests. This means personal information you provide — such as your name, phone number, and enquiry details — may be stored or processed on secure servers located overseas. Repair and vehicle records are held within our business systems.
Australian Privacy Principle 8 requires us, before disclosing information to an overseas recipient, to take reasonable steps to ensure that recipient does not breach the APPs in relation to your information, unless an exception applies. We have arrangements in place with our service providers directed at protecting your information to a standard consistent with Australian privacy law. By providing your information to us — including through our website, phone system or enquiry tools — you acknowledge this overseas storage and processing.
Data Quality
We take reasonable steps to ensure the personal information we collect, use and disclose is accurate, complete and up to date. Please let us know if your contact or vehicle details change.
Data Security and Retention
We take reasonable steps to protect personal information from misuse, interference, loss, and unauthorised access, modification or disclosure. This includes physical security for paper records, access controls and encryption for electronic systems, and confidentiality obligations for our staff.
We retain customer and repair records for a minimum of 7 years from your last transaction. We may retain information for longer where the law requires it or there is a genuine business reason to do so. When records are no longer required, we destroy or de-identify them securely.
Access and Correction
You may ask to access the personal information we hold about you, and to have it corrected if it is inaccurate, out of date, incomplete, irrelevant or misleading. To make a request, contact us using the details above. We will respond within 30 days.
We may charge a reasonable fee to cover the cost of retrieving and copying records, but we will not charge you simply for making the request. There are limited circumstances in which we may need to refuse a request — and if that occurs, we will explain why.
Marketing Communications
From time to time we may send follow-up messages, service reminders, or promotional messages (for example, about new services) by SMS or email. Promotional messages will identify the Business and provide a way to opt out. If you ask us to stop marketing messages, we will action that request within 5 business days, consistent with the Spam Act 2003 (Cth). Transactional messages, such as quote confirmations and collection reminders, may continue after you opt out of marketing unless you ask us to stop these as well.
Anonymity and Pseudonymity
Where it is lawful and practicable, you may deal with us anonymously or under a pseudonym — for example, for a general enquiry. Because vehicle repairs require accurate identification for record-keeping, insurance claims, and roadworthy certification, we are generally not able to provide repair services on an anonymous basis.
Data Breaches
MMM Panels & Mechanical Repairs has processes in place to identify, assess and respond to data breaches. If a data breach involving your personal information is likely to result in serious harm, we will notify affected individuals and the Office of the Australian Information Commissioner (OAIC) as soon as practicable, in accordance with the Notifiable Data Breaches scheme under the Privacy Act.
Cookies and Website Analytics
Our website may use cookies and third-party tools, such as Google Analytics and Google Maps, to help us understand how the site is used and to provide directions to our workshop. These tools collect information in accordance with their own privacy policies, which we encourage you to review.
How to Make a Complaint
If you have concerns about how we have handled your personal information, please contact us using the details above. We will acknowledge your complaint and aim to resolve it within 30 days.
If you are not satisfied with our response, you can complain to:
- Office of the Australian Information Commissioner (OAIC) — oaic.gov.au — 1300 363 992
Changes to This Policy
We may update this policy from time to time to reflect changes in our practices or the law. The current version is always available on our website, and the "last updated" date at the top of this document reflects the most recent revision.
